Goethe-Institut Yaoundé, 25 to 26 June 2010
25th to 26 June 2010, the Goethe-Institut German Cameroon teachers, including an invitation from Port-Gentil in Gabon, and philologists to a workshop in Yaoundé. During this workshop the participants had to think on how the German teachers and students of Germanistik in this globalized world network by electronic means.
arrival at the Goethe-Institut Yaoundé
Introduction of participants (in)
Every (r) participants (in) should be present in person and at the same outlining his (her) experience with "online activities". It was nice to notice that some colleagues - teachers of German are here intended - regularly together communicates via Internet, without having previously met physically. The case of William CHANTCHO from Douala, LEUMASSI Leopold from Obala and FOSONG Evariste from Port-Gentil was a graphic example, demonstrate to these "online exchange."
course of the workshop
The workshop was divided into two main points:
- ; individual Meinungsäu β TION
- debates in plenary
In the context of individual expression should present each participant his experience with the Internet and then formulate their expectations. Here it is important to mention in between, that many towns in Cameroon still "offline" are.
In the context of debates in plenary certain issues were addressed and discussed. From the two synopses can be seen that the quality and quantity of supply should be ensured and guaranteed and that the network of German teachers and philologists should be solidified.
Personal experiences
Workshop on "online platform of German teachers and philologists" I have the following points noticed:
- originality of the topic (first came in debates before)
- real contact with the German language.
- Free Meinungsäuβerung each participant (there were no speakers, as habitually went to seminars.)
- common platform for discussion between teachers of German and Germanic students. (in this case was seen as the everyday life on campus and reported it)
- warm welcome and great accommodation.
- Dinner in the open air
thanks and wishes
For this workshop we are the Goethe-Institut Yaoundé obliged to thank you because he has many "online dating" gathered around a table, and so the first real gathering of "neighborhood members" and has facilitated other.
A special gratitude we would like to commend the Head Dr BARK , Mr. Marc André Schmachtel and Uwe JUNG , namely for their active participation and proper care.
It is desirable that such forums take place regularly so that wir die Qualität und die Regularität des Angebots gewährleisten , und so unsere tägliche Tätigkeit verbessern können.
William CHANTCHO
